点评:I genuinely love this place; it is such a great space to walk, run, and generally get away from the hustle and bustle of Nairobi life. Whilst the tracks can get incredibly muddy, there is no substitute for that early morning jaunt around the paths. Weaving in and out of the way of monkeys, jackals, and the odd human makes for a fabulous way to start any day! The paths are well marked, the elevation is enough to give all levels a solid workout, and you can finish with a tasty coffee at one of the cafés near the various entrances.
The Karura Forest may not quite receive the same Kenyan-kudos as Nairobi National Park, with its big cats and enchanting rhinos, but you cannot beat an hour or so in the forest to recharge the batteries, reconnect with nature, and momentarily forget about traffic, emails, and whatever fresh chaos Nairobi has decided to serve up that morning. Whether you are chasing a PB, strolling with friends, or simply pretending to be an explorer armed only with a flat white and questionable trail-running technique, Karura somehow manages to leave you feeling better than when you arrived.
