Absolutely Awful From Start to Finish
If this event had been organised any worse, it would have qualified as an escape room.
From the moment we arrived, it was clear that what had been advertised and what was actually delivered were two completely different things. The line-up seemed to change more often than the British weather. The artists listed on the website didn't match those promoted on social media, and neither matched what was happening on the day. By the end, I wasn't sure if I was attending a music event or taking part in a lucky dip.
There were random acts nobody had heard of, huge gaps between sets, and delays that made it feel like the event was being organised via carrier pigeon in real time.
The queues deserve a special mention because, quite frankly, they were the main attraction. We spent roughly two hours queuing for food and drinks, which was considerably longer than we spent enjoying the entertainment. At one point, I felt more emotionally invested in the queue than the actual event.
The venue was packed beyond belief. Whoever calculated the capacity appears to have used a clown car as a point of reference. There were simply too many people crammed into too little space, making the whole experience uncomfortable from start to finish.
As for the food vendors, many had apparently interpreted "stock management" as "bring enough food for the first 30 minutes and hope for the best." After standing in a queue for nearly an hour, you could finally reach the front only to discover that most of the menu had vanished. It was like participating in a dystopian game show where the prize was disappointment.
We travelled specifically to attend this event and ended up spending more time standing in lines than actually watching performances. Judging by the number of people leaving early and openly complaining, we certainly weren't the only ones wondering where our money had gone.
Imagine ordering a beef burger, being handed a fish finger sandwich, and then being told it's basically the same thing. That's what this event felt like. We bought tickets based on a specific advertised experience, and what we received bore only a passing resemblance to it.
The entire day felt poorly organised, overcrowded, understaffed and spectacularly underprepared. The organisers somehow managed to combine the efficiency of a traffic jam with the customer service standards of an airline cancellation desk.
For the amount paid, the experience was nowhere near acceptable. It was less "premium event" and more "chaotic social experiment."
Very disappointing, hugely frustrating, and certainly not something I would recommend—unless your hobbies include queuing, confusion, and paying good money to be annoyed.
