Little Hidden Gem in the Heart of Texas

点评：Me, my husband and my 7 year old wanted to check out Krause Springs and we weren't disappointed! It was our first visit and we chose tent camping. When we arrived we were very impressed with the landscaping and layout of the property. There were flowers and fun vegetation everywhere. The cyprus trees blew us away! We had plenty of options for tent camping and we chose a fairly secluded place that had one of the springs running next to it. There were plenty of bathroom options and we were close enough to walk from our campsite. The property was very clean and not too crowded for a Friday-Saturday camping trip in July. The RV sites seemed to be more popular and crowded with not only RV's but tent campers as well. It was nice that anyone could reserve an RV spot but we enjoy having a little more space and privacy over electricity. It's camping so it kinda goes with the description.
The spring water in the man made pool was a little chilly but it wasn't too cold to enjoy a swim for a bit. When you walk down to the natural pool you do have to be careful not to slip on the rocks. They do have steps on part of the trail down but you can also walk up the creek bed through the bushes to access the pools. The scenery is so beautiful! There were waterfalls and some little caves. They had a rope swing and a cliff you could jump off of. Everyone was very friendly and shockingly my husband and I seemed to be the only people drinking beer. We even looked around to make sure we weren't breaking any rules. It was nice that the crowd attracted while we were there was wholesome and pleasant.
There was plenty to explore as well. Of course when exploring you have to be alert. We saw turtles, frogs, lizards, and even a coral snake. We had all our food sealed in airtight boxes and put our trash bag in the car overnight since we saw a family of racoons walk by our little spring.
We will most definitely be visiting again, hopefully in the near future!

人工泳池里的泉水有点凉，但游一会儿也不觉得冷。走到天然水潭时，一定要小心，别在岩石上滑倒。下山的路段有台阶，但你也可以沿着溪床穿过灌木丛往上走，到达水潭。景色美极了！那里有瀑布和一些小洞穴。那里有绳索秋千和可以跳下去的悬崖。大家都很友好，令人震惊的是，我和我丈夫似乎是唯一在喝啤酒的人。我们甚至环顾四周，确保自己没有违反任何规定。很高兴看到我们在那里时，人群既健康又愉快。
还有很多地方值得探索。当然，探索的时候你必须保持警惕。我们看到了海龟、青蛙、蜥蜴，甚至还有一条珊瑚蛇。我们把所有食物都密封在密封的盒子里，并把垃圾袋放在车里过夜，因为我们看到一群浣熊从我们家的小泉水旁走过。
