Lake Tobias Wildlife Park的点评
点评：I had a great time visiting Lake Tobias for the first time with my family. The animals and overall experience were wonderful, and my children really enjoyed themselves. Unfortunately, we had a rude interactions with staff that took away from what could have been an even better experience.
The encounter happened in the reptile area, specifically with the staff member handling the baby alligator. He instructed everyone who wanted to pet the alligator not to touch its head or body and to only touch the tail. My 6-year-old son, who was simply curious and genuinely interested in learning, asked why he couldn’t touch those areas. Rather than taking the opportunity to educate a curious child, the staff member responded, “Because I said so.”
As a parent, I found that response disappointing. One of the wonderful things about places like Lake Tobias is that they provide children with an opportunity to learn about animals and nature. A simple explanation such as, “We don’t touch those areas because the alligator could become scared or react defensively,” would have answered my son’s question while turning the moment into a learning experience.
While we had a great time overall, I hope management considers providing additional training on customer service and, especially, how staff interact with children and families. A little patience, kindness, and education can make a huge difference in a family’s experience.
