点评：Incredibly interesting landscape, with its own kind of beauty. I can see where it wouldn't be for everyone, but we found it beautiful and peaceful. The campground is clean and well cared for, the price for an overnight stay is incredibly affordable( $15 per night), and the staff (both in the campground and in the visitor center) were fantastic. We appreciated having a covered picnic table, so we sat outside for almost our entire two-night/one-day stay. We never saw any javelina, but were fascinated by the quail running all over the place. We were there during the week, and the campground was almost empty; however, we were surprised at the number of picnickers and day users. The visitor center has sand discs for rent for $6, & it's totally worth sliding down the dunes! I got my exercise trudging back up the dunes with the disc each time, and was totally exhausted after about half an hour of sliding, but it was still worth the cost to play in the sand a little. Pro tip: Spend the extra $1.50 on wax for the disc. This place isn't compelling enough for a multi-day vacation, but it was a great place to play, relax, and recharge while enjoying an uncommon landscape.
