West Dean Gardens的点评
点评：My partner and I have been living in the area for a number of years now and only just got round to visiting West Dean Gardens. What a treat! A very hot day, so we focused on the apple orchard, kitchen garden and surrounding areas.
Some of our first sights included large nepeta bushes and other pollinator-friendly plants amongst the apple trees, teeming with very happy bees of many shapes and sizes (including the biggest bees we're ever seen - clearly they're doing very well for themselves at West Dean!). Keep an eye out for the very impressive bee hotel (more like a metropolis!), where at this time of year we saw many a bee working hard to lay their nests. In this area, we also bumped into a couple of friendly chickens ambling about (and doing a great job at natural pest control)!
The kitchen garden was lovely to see, including the Edwardian-style walled glasshouses with trained trees. A large range of fruits, vegetables, and herbs are being grown here, which the signage explained goes to their kitchen. Some of the glasshouses are home to tropical plants, including a truly monster monstera!
Having had such a lovely time, we bought a very reasonably-priced joint membership to come back and see the rest (of which there is lots!). Reception kindly let us take off the value of our day entry from the overall cost of the membership. A great idea to give us 10% off the restaurant with our membership, as we then popped over there for a drink and bite to eat (very nice!), and also 20% off up to two others with us, as we've already invited family to join us next time! We're particularly looking forward to popping down to the river and surrounding area!

因为玩得非常开心，我们购买了一张价格非常合理的双人会员卡，准备下次再来参观其他景点（这里有很多值得一看的地方！）。前台很贴心地帮我们从会员卡总价中扣除了当天的门票费用。会员卡还能享受餐厅九折优惠，真是个好主意！我们之后就去餐厅喝了点东西，吃了点东西（味道很棒！）。此外，会员卡还能为最多两位同行者提供八折优惠，因为我们已经邀请家人下次一起来了！我们尤其期待下次去河边和周边地区逛逛！
