点评:We had a great visit at ACMI (Australian Centre for the Moving Image) in the city where it not just showed us variants of playable games but also the fascinating art and history behind it. There were a lot of old classic pixelated games such as Maze War, Zork, Team Fortress and modern games such as World of Warcraft, Hollow Knight: Silksong, Minecraft, and simulation games like Terra Nil as well as many games for younger kids.
We arrived at around 11am as we quickly checked in with our online booked ticket at the front desk, the interior and exterior were state-of-art designs with a modern-artistic look, I think there were around 2 exhibits, the main exhibit requires money which allows playable games of up to around 40-ish games, the other exhibit which is free shows the history and art of the screen and gaming. We were given lens where we can scan these QR-code like-pictures for each gaming station where the information stores into the lens, there's a code behind it, type in the website which is lens.acmi.net.au and type in your code to see all the platforms you scanned to understand more of the game.
In the art and history exhibit, we saw the timeline of different gaming consoles ranging between Playstations, Nintendo DS, Gameboy, Xbox series, and a lot of retro-classic consoles. We also saw some other playable games in that exhibit but some also costed money such as Pac-Man etc.
Overall, this experience was very rewarding, the visit took around a total of 4 hours, I enjoyed the playable exhibits (ended up playing Minecraft and Terra Nil for 3 hours), I appreciate the modern structure, the gaming experience was very phenomenal and would highly recommend those who are gaming influenced people to visit.
