Parking needs to scan a code on phone, veterans discount in beach shops, a quiet calm beach on a weekday during winter time.

点评：The parking payment was a scan code payable by phone where we parked with a charge of $20...bit steep, If you drive to other car parks there are options to pay by card, not sure the price as they too had a scan code.
There are a number of weathered old tat shops, and some better beach shops, most give veteran discounts. I didnt see any decent looking places to eat in the beach area, but Daytona has a nearby town centre which might have better options.
The beach has restrooms, and I did see some beach loungers on the beach, tho im not certain if they were chargable.
The pier is free to walk on and great for viewing surfers, and some wildlife, and people do fishing there too.
The sand was white and clean, and the water bright blue and a little cold but it is Febuary.
There are a number of homeless people around but they usually stick to near the main roads and tend to leave you alone.
I have been to far better beaches but this is one the cleanest and calmest so il highly rate it for that.
