点评：We went in June of 2025, and I'm just now leaving a review. This place is fabulous. We stayed at the Platte River campground in a walk-in camping spot. It took some time to walk in, but it was mostly private. Our neighbors who were far, were loud at night, but apologetic when we approached them. From our campground you could walk to the shore and have the whole place to yourself almost. A few rangers were tracking Piping Plover nests so we talked to them for a while. I was surprised by how blue the water is on Lake Michigan. It was our first time in Michigan and we were travelling up the west coast. We did several trails at the park plus the scenic drive. The Empire Bluffs trail ended with a beautiful view of the lake and dunes. I would definitely go again. There was so much we didn't do: tubing, other hikes, ranger programs.
