点评:To say this lovely park has gone downhill is an understatement. Have not visited since 2019..pre covid..and how things have changed. The park and house itself are still exquisite and beautiful but the so called welcoming staff for the National Trust need some serious training. We entered and came face to face with a gentleman called Roger who was busily eating away whilst serving us…..it seems we disturbed his lunch as his abrupt and rude manner left a lot to be desired. We explained that we had left our NT membership cards at home and could he possibly look us up only to be told ‘he couldn’t be bothered, so carry on’. We proceeded to go up to the house with no proof we were members or had paid to come in but the lovely lady on the door of the house kindly let us in after we had explained the situation. All the staff and volunteers at the house were very knowledgeable and helpful.
After a nice relaxing walk, we went to leave. As we passed the NT hut, there was ‘our friend d’ Roger still munching away without so much of a goodbye or thanks.
National Trust..you really need to sort out your staff on the entrance gate as there is certainly no friendly welcome as there always used to be. Also maybe give your gazebo a good clean…..perhaps Roger could do that instead of eating!!!

愉快地散步后,我们就离开了。当我们经过北领地小屋时,“我们的朋友罗杰”仍在咀嚼着食物,没有太多的告别或感谢。
国民信托……你真的需要在入口处整理一下你的工作人员,因为肯定没有像以前那样友好的欢迎。也许还可以给你的凉亭好好打扫一下……也许罗杰可以这样做而不是吃饭!
