Any other course in Vallarta is better than this one.
El Tigre Golf at Paradise Village的点评
点评：It's disappointing to have to write another critical review about this course, of which I'm a member, but something needs to change, and this is the only avenue I have.
The driving range is beaten to dirt by mid-morning. The mowing schedule is baffling: maintenance crews are out on the front nine before 10am, right when members want to get in a quick round and go about their day. It feels like tee time access and course conditions are consistently deprioritized for the membership. This isn't a one-off — outside leagues are allowed to book entire days of tee times, blocking members from playing at least one day a week, and it was closer to two days a week last year.
The bunkers remain little more than a thin layer of sand over black tarp — it's hard to play a round without seeing the liner peeking through. The only bunkers that get real attention are the ones around the 18th green, visible from the restaurant to guests staying at Paradise Village.
Speaking of which, I suspect Paradise Village has significant influence over what does and doesn't get invested in here. Recent renovations have focused on the bag drop area, the parking lot, the restaurant, and bag storage — areas members rarely use — plus a new entrance gate currently under construction. These are all things aimed at appealing to people who aren't golfing, like time share people. Meanwhile, the golf course itself keeps deteriorating. There's no real first cut of rough, no collar to speak of — just fairway and foot-high grass. And when mowing does happen, it's common to see a dozen or more staff standing around the clubhouse while fairways are left lined with piles of clippings.
I golf about four times a week, and it's tempting to leave a review after every round based on what that day's conditions actually earned. The recent 2025-2026 reviews are honest, but they're not dragging the overall rating down to where it should be — this course is still coasting on a reputation from 20+ years ago that hasn't matched reality in at least a decade. It's a shame TripAdvisor doesn't separate an all-time score from a recent-reviews score; that would make it much clearer how far this course has fallen. At this point it's not even a good municipal course — it's a shell of the club it used to be.

说到这个……我怀疑Paradise Village对这里的投资方向有着相当大的影响力。最近的翻新工作主要集中在球包寄存区、停车场、餐厅以及球包储存处——这些地方会员们很少使用——此外还有一座正在施工中的新入口大门。这些措施都是为了吸引那些不打高尔夫的人，比如分时度假的消费者。而高尔夫球场本身却一直在恶化，现在连最基本的草皮修剪都做不到了。几乎没有所谓的“球道边缘带草带”——只有平整的球道和齐脚高的草丛而已。即便真的进行修剪，也常能看到十几名工作人员站在会所周围，而球道上则堆满了剪下的草屑。
