点评：My twin daughters and I visited Monkey Island as part of our 3-day Amazon experience. We spent about an hour on the island during which we saw a number of different types of monkey. Clearly our enthusiastic guide had formed a wonderful trust with some of the monkeys as some came to say hello and give him a huge cuddle. There is clear information on display about the rescue centre's history and its aims in the main reception area. I gave an excellent rating to recognise the invaluable work that is being done here to rescue orphaned monkeys, often in dangerous situations, in order to give them a safe life here. Due to the island's location, there is no passing tourist trade and the centre relies on visitors taking a boat ride to the island, therefore you can understand how important each visitor is to the centre and that every donation allows the dedicated team to continue their amazing work.
