🐊 A Snappy Day Out on the Black River

点评：This was part of a duo tour with YS Falls through our TUI rep
After a long drive from Montego Bay to here, we disembark the bus and are guided to a table and we are offered a drink and then go up to get our food (the traditional jerk chicken and rice & peas) once rhe boat captain is ready we board the pontoon and he guides us through the journey and some rules.
We set off and the captain take to us about the history of the area and the river. As he is going along he is watching to see where the crocodiles are. I am not going to lie it would be hard to spot with them being able to hide in the edge of the river undergrowth, but as we turn one bend in the river in the distance you can spot something moving and there it is, our 1st crocodile!!
The captain finds a good place and stops the pontoon and comes to a small gate on the side and opens a tube with some raw chicken pieces in it and calls the crocodile over! Watching it swim over it looks sooo calm but as it gets closer you can see how intimidating they are and how they are so stealthy. The captain offers the pieces and the croc snaps it up (the piece is thrown and is not anywhere close to the hand) the captain is well aware of the hazards and is able to feed with ease. We stay there for a good while and then we set off again further up the river, we turn another bend and there is another crocodile. The captain feeds this one also the same as before
Once we have reached a certain point in the river the captain turns us round and we head back. The crocodiles I would say know what they are getting and that is why they are willing to come over to the boats.
To top our trip off on the journey back the captain calmed our daughter (24 years old) up to the wheel and allows her to drive us back. The smile on her face made this trip even more amazing because of that!
A brilliant and experience to see crocodiles in the wild and up close!

到达河的某个地方后，船长调转船头，我们开始返航。我想，鳄鱼们知道自己会得到什么，所以它们才愿意游到船边。
为了让我们的旅程更加完美，返程途中，船长安抚了我们24岁的女儿，让她坐到驾驶座上，开车送我们回去。她脸上的笑容让这次旅行更加精彩！
在野外近距离观赏鳄鱼，真是一次绝妙的体验！
