Both directions now open on this impressive bridge
New Zuari Bridge- Cable Bridge的点评
点评：Wednesday 28th February we were travelling from Manohar International Airport to Majorda in South Goa.
Our route took us along National Highway 66 where this bridge, also known as Manohar Setu, spans the Zuari River for 640 metres (2,100 feet) and links North to South Goa.
When we were here in December 2023 we were only able to travel over the Bridge on the northbound carriageway, which opened in December 2022.
The southbound section opened in December 2023, so when we drove over the bridge again in February 2024 both directions were operational.
It was just as impressive as it was the first time we saw it, maybe a little better this time because both sides were open. Still an amazing engineering feat.
The towers that support the wire cables are very visible features on the landscape standing at 125 metres (410 feet) high. We were informed that it was planned to have public viewing platforms in the Tower's, could be just gossip.
The photos posted were taken from the rear of our taxi, so not too exciting.
