点评：Brian planned and executed an outstanding 2-day personalized 8th USAAF Battlefield Tour experience that absolutely exceeded our expectations. He conducted extensive research, coordinated with local experts to inform and guide us at several of the locations. Additionally, Brian provided expert detailed primary and supplemental information and discussions at all locations. Further, he provided transportation throughout, access to museums, tour photos, and an end of tour handout detailing each station's history, assigned units, aircraft and missions.
Our interest for the tour was centered on the 457th Bomb Group and their former Station 130, Glatton, England since my father flew B-17G bombers with that unit during World War II. The tour started there and included several local places of interest, then moved to many other locations, such as, Kings Cliffe USAAF Station 367 where fighters provided escort for bombers, RAF Wyton Heritage Centre & Pathfinder Museum, Alconbury USAAF Station 102 where bomber and pathfinder equipped aircraft were stationed, Duxford USAAF Station 357 where fighters provided bomber support, and ended with the Cambridge American Cemetery and Memorial (Madingley) where many 457th BG airmen are buried. Brian integrated the missions and support each provided, giving us a complete wonderful picture of the coordination of war effort. I would recommend a personalized Mighty Eighth Battlefield Tour to anyone interested in World War II.
