Interesting but a bit too "complex" visit
哈尔萨夫列尼地宫的点评
点评：If I have to be perfectly honest I think this place a bit overrated - not that it's bad, but it's simply too complex to organize a trip, and quite frankly a bit too expensive - and I think it's for for me to say after we have visited Ggantija on Gozo, and Hagar Qim/Mnajdra before coming here (reviewed separately).
They all include something very old, built by an old civilization that we know very little about - this one is the most commercialized, under closed roof, and "fully underground" but that does not mean you will end up enjoying it the most - it's a fairly short tour, under an extremely strict schedule (make sure to book way in advance) and for me the last part simply makes it not the best option - I think I would rather visit Hagar Qim over the Hypogeum if given the choice of just one. Yes, this place is cool but it's simply too difficult to get here (parking also limited in the area while we are at "getting here" since the place is in between a small residential side road)
If you do end up coming here, make sure to give yourself plenty of time to find parking and walk here, be on time, make sure you are aware that you need to leave your belongings in a locker (key is with you) and that you will end up going downstairs into smaller areas (no issues with claustrophobia - I suffer from one at times and here I was fine), where taller people will struggle :) I think my fav part was the "sound" part - but I think there are some visual things here that will entertain many... for about $80-85 USD for 2 people... a bit pricey, there are better things in Malta to experience/see.
