⭐ 1/5 — Aggressive, confrontational and completely unnecessary

点评：We visited this bar as a group of four — two couples — while on holiday in Chania. Unfortunately, what should have been a relaxed few drinks turned into an extremely unpleasant and confrontational experience.
From the moment we arrived, the male member of staff serving us was noticeably rude and confrontational. We were a little merry, as you’d expect when having drinks on holiday, but we were polite and respectful throughout.
The situation escalated when my friend ordered Baby Guinnesses and attempted to put them onto a tray. The member of staff responded by calling the idea stupid in an extremely offensive manner. He then pulled the tray away with such force that it struck a light above the bar, before storming off.
We quite reasonably questioned why we were being spoken to in this manner. We weren’t abusive, threatening or looking for an argument. We simply pointed out that the behaviour was extremely rude.
Unfortunately, rather than calming the situation down, the female member of staff became involved and the situation became even more aggressive. She was shouting and using offensive language and got directly into my girlfriend’s face, which we found completely unacceptable.
Comments were also made about us being English and accusing us of being disrespectful. This was particularly disappointing given that we had been polite and had done nothing to provoke this behaviour.
There is a massive difference between staff politely explaining that something can’t be done and aggressively pulling a tray across a bar, causing it to hit a light, storming off, shouting at customers and getting in their faces. None of this was necessary.
We’ve travelled to plenty of places and understand that different countries and establishments have different ways of doing things. If we’d genuinely done something wrong, we would have had absolutely no problem being told. What we don’t expect is to be treated aggressively when we’ve behaved respectfully.
What made the experience even more disappointing is that this was an Irish bar. One of the things we’ve always enjoyed about Irish bars, wherever we’ve visited them, is that they’re normally welcoming, relaxed places with a great atmosphere and a good laugh.
This experience couldn’t have been further from that.
We’ve had a fantastic time in Chania and have met plenty of lovely, welcoming people during our holiday. This establishment was very much the exception.
We certainly won’t be returning and, based on our experience, I’d recommend visitors choose one of the many other places in Chania instead.

我们去过很多地方，明白不同国家和场所都有各自的做事方式。如果我们真的做错了什么，我们完全接受被指出来。我们没想到的是，即便我们举止得体、礼貌有加，仍然会受到冷遇甚至被恶劣对待。
更令我们失望的是，那是一家爱尔兰酒吧。无论走到哪里，我们一直都很喜欢爱尔兰酒吧——它们通常氛围友好、轻松自在，气氛极佳，还能让人开怀大笑。
而这次的经历却完全背道而驰。
