点评：Park Schönbusch is one of our favorite places in Aschaffenburg and a destination we return to every time we're in town. Just a short drive from the city center, it offers something for everyone, whether you're traveling with kids, interested in history, or simply looking for a beautiful place to enjoy nature.
Getting there is easy, and there's a huge parking lot, making it a convenient outing for families. There is both a full-service restaurant and a self-service Biergarten, each offering a large selection of delicious food and drinks. It's the perfect place to stop for Sunday brunch, lunch or enjoy an after-work beer & dinner.
For families, Schönbusch is a dream. My kids love the maze, the playground, and the many paths that wind through the park. The large pond is beautiful to stroll around, and there is plenty of space to walk, run, and explore.
One of the highlights is the charming Schlösschen, a small palace that offers short guided tours. While modest in size, it provides fascinating insight into the history of the park and the people who created it.
History and architecture enthusiasts will find treasures around every corner. As you wander through the grounds, you'll discover the Red Bridge, the Philosopher's House, the Temple of Friendship, shepherds' cottages, a miniature village, historic service buildings, and even an artificial hill with a viewing tower and the intriguingly named Devil's Bridge.
What I love most is the atmosphere. Schönbusch isn't just a tourist attraction. It's a place where locals come to relax, especially on weekends. Families picnic on the grass, couples stroll along the paths, and friends gather in the biergarten. It feels authentic, welcoming, and very much a part of everyday life in Aschaffenburg.
If you're visiting Aschaffenburg and want a break from castles, churches, and museums, make time for Schönbusch Park. It's beautiful, historic, family-friendly, and wonderfully peaceful. We always leave wishing we had spent just a little more time there.
