点评:I'm not a boat owner. I live locally.
The marina is in a lovely location, however it flouts the law in terms of inclusivity - it's no disability friendly. There are loads of parking spaces, however many of them are practically empty because they're behind barriers and are for the use of boat owners. The parking areas that aren't behind barriers are clearly painted/marked as parking bays but are unusable for most of the year because they're used as hard standing for boats that are out of the water.
There's a lovely wee cafe, a chandelry shop and an excellent beauty therapy shop which, despite being on the flat, are totally inaccessible for people with mobility issues due to the lack of parking. There are barriers up to prevent people driving closer to them.
In the whole of the marina there are only 2 disabled parking spaces (which are frequently abused) over at the other side of the marina in The Chartroom car park.
The marina management are clearly flouting the law - the Equalities Act clearly states that reasonable adjustments must be made to car parks (including privately owned) to ensure accessibility for people with disabilities. There is a legal requirement to provide easily accessible and identifiable, clearly marked disabled parking spaces.
