Great technical course, but 5–6 ball groups ruined pace. Waited every shot for 18 holes.

点评：Strong Layout Undermined by Very Poor Pace Management
We played Riverdale as a four-ball visiting from the UK during our Bangkok golf holiday.
The course itself lives up to its reputation as a technical layout, with strong elevation changes and demanding approach shots that require proper course management. The greens were good and rolled well. Fairways were generally decent, though slightly patchy in places (clearly under repair). The clubhouse facilities were excellent.
The caddies were outstanding and genuinely tried their best. They knew we were frustrated after only a few holes and did everything they could to help. This was not their fault.
Unfortunately, the pace of play was extremely poor.
We were behind 5-ball and 6-ball groups for the entire 18 holes and waited on virtually every shot. At times we were stationary for up to ten minutes at café stations and tee boxes, yet it made no difference — we would arrive at the next hole and still be waiting.
One group of six let us through after 9 holes, but by that point one of our players had already walked off. We hoped that would free things up, but by the 11th tee we had already caught the next 5-ball and were again standing watching them hit.
The round culminated on the 18th (a par 5) with four separate oversized groups stacked on the hole at the same time. That is barely manageable with four-balls — let alone 5- and 6-balls.
This is the only course during our holiday so far where this has happened. Every other venue managed group sizes properly and maintained steady flow.
For a premium-priced course, this level of pace control is simply not acceptable. We are already planning our next Bangkok trip, but we will request that Riverdale is not included if this is how the tee sheet is managed.
