点评:It was a hot and sunny day, as I left my car opposite the bookshop and walked the rest of the way to the abbey. There were hardly anyone around, when I arrived. I went to the cafe and had to wait sometime, as even though there were two people working there, only one did the serving while the other got the drinks and food ready for everyone who wanted some sort of meal. The woman told me, I was allowed to go in for free because of my English Heritage membership card. I was given a map of the abbey and a little bit of the history in English and Welsh of the ruins. Some of the ruins had been closed off to the public, as there was some ongoing work. There were a few history boards amongst the ruins. After I left, I noticed they’d been offering free parking in their car park as there was something wrong with their machine. So, I went back to the car and drove to the car park. I then looked round the ruins in the other car park before going back to my car and sitting in it. A sign said I could stay as long as I liked, but not for the night. At about 5pm, the abbey closed and so did the nearby toilets. So, the nearest toilets would have been in a pub. I decided to leave as the sun slowly went down.
