Kerchor Elephant Family Phuket的点评
点评：Such a wonderful sanctuary! Peaceful, clean and serene with beautiful, well-cared-for Elephants. No riding here. The staff was amazing, funny and kind. My new wife and I never felt unsafe while cuddling, mud-bathing, and splashing around with our enormous new friends! Be as involved as you want to be in the feeding, and bathing (full immersion highly-recommended). If you can love a happy dog--you will love meeting these gregarious Elephants! Make sure to do the longer session. Also, a nice yummy Thai lunch, coffee, and teas, as well as traditional shirts to borrow during the experience. There are showers for afterwards, as well as restrooms. Locker rental is available. They are so nice about taking as many photos of you as you'd like (with their equipment or your own phones even--safe from water-splashing, of course). We never felt rushed. The visit was organized, accommodating and safe. We even chewed on some fresh sugar cane while walking through the jungle canopy pathway with a 38 year old, rehabilitated beauty. Watch out for rugby-ball-sized droppings!
There was an English-speaking group as well as a Chinese-speaking group this day feb 2026. Sandals and a bathing suit worked perfectly for the day. It was extremely family-friendly with younger and smaller rescued animals to feed and love upon in what was more or less a "splash pad" at the very end before clean off. Also gorgeous herons and other birds fishing in the adjacent pond. Be ready for an Elephant kiss or two! Hone your oversized mortar and pestle skills (picture something the size of a baseball bat and medium size tree stump bowled-out) while making some rice and sea-salted banana balls to feed them.
