Stunning Panoramic Views and Fully Paved – Wonderful Morning Hike!

点评：If you want incredible coastal views without a grueling hike, the Makapu'u Point Lighthouse Trail is a fantastic option on Oahu!
We drove over from the Sheraton Waikiki and it was about a 25-30 minute drive. We loved that the entire hiking path is fully paved and relatively easy to hike, meaning it doesn't take too long to reach the top. I wore regular athletic sneakers instead of heavy hiking shoes and did completely fine.
We arrived right when the gates opened at 7:00 AM and were able to park in the main lot without any issues. We noticed that the early birds who hiked up for the sunrise had to park all along the highway since the gate wasn't open yet, so timing your arrival is key!
The views from the top are spectacular, but definitely come prepared. There is no shade on this trail, so you will want to bring plenty of water and sun protection. Also, be prepared for it to be very windy as you head up!
We highly recommend this hike to anyone looking for gorgeous scenery and a smooth, accessible path.
