Waimea Falls的点评
点评：This stunning valley leading to a beautiful waterfall was well worth the visit.
For those with mobility issues there is a transfer vehicle you can pay to use, or hire a mobility scooter for a few hours, which cost us $20 and was well worth doing, as you can walk together.
When you reach the falls, they are stunning and with the lake below, swimming was something we had to do! The only downside was having to wear a life jacket, but the falls are very forceful, so once I swam under them, I understood their reasoning for this.
You have to climb over rocks to get in, so swim shoes were a good idea for us, and as the water was lovely and warm, which I didn't expect, as it is quite shaded and was their winter, we were able to stay in for ages.
There are beautiful plants, flowers and trees, along the way with Hawaiian locals in purpose built huts explaining about the language, history, methods of building and sports, which was really interesting.
A gift shop, cafe and toilets ensured a smooth transition afterwards.
