点评：We love Kamari, we love visiting in May too. It’s warm and not too packed. Not everything is open when we arrived but still plenty of options. Everything is open now and we don’t feel we’ve missed out. It can be a bit windy but we don’t mind that cos it’s cools things down. Even if u stay towards the top end of Kamari it’s still close to everything along the front. Nice and close to the airport, so the transfer was really quick. Regular buses to Thira so you can visit any part of the island. Bus costs around 2.2€.
The beach front is stunning, the views from any taverna is generally stunning. I’m not a fan of sand, but love to look at it. The front has so many options for eating and drinking, it’s a beautiful place and we wudnt want to be anywhere else
Beer, generally Mythos, lovely pint 7€ a bit pricey and some places are down around 5€. Cocktails are lovely, around 9-14€. Coffee around 5€ I guess it’s holiday prices
Food is good quality wherever you eat, lots of competition and good standard 10-40€ depending on what to go for
Pharmacy you can get anything, so don’t be worried if you leave anything at home
Supermarkets you can get bottles of Mythos for around 2€ so a cheaper option if you enjoy a bit of veranda drinking
Accessibility is up and down, lots of cobbles to negotiate so if you do manage your mobility you definitely have to have your wits about you.
Check out the venues for toilets if you struggle with mobility. Some are on the ground floor and very accessible. Wheelchair users could find it difficult to get around, but if you chose a beach front hotel that will eliminate the hills
