Enjoyable Reserve
RSPB Leighton Moss Nature Reserve的点评
点评：Visited the reserve today (Monday 13th July) while on holiday in Kendal as we are RSPB members.
Used the sat nav and it was very easy to find although some of the roads are typical narrow country roads.
Warmly greeted by a lady who asked if we had been before and we replied No....not from this area and she laughed and said I can tell that from your accents (we are Norfolk dumplings 🤣). She gave us a map and explained where to spot things on both routes and to start at the Sky Tower to get a good overall view of the reed beds and reserve.
We thoroughly enjoyed climbing to the top of the sky tower and the 4 hides.
We saw Marsh Harriers, Great Egrets, Herons, Swans with cignets, Cootes, various ducks, a grey squirrel, loads of massive dragonflies and butterflies. We also heard a few Reed Warblers too.
The reserve is very much like Minsmere back where we live and we spent an enjoyable 4 hours there altogether.

这个保护区和我们居住的明斯米尔非常相似，我们在那里愉快地度过了4个小时。
