Small picturesque Marina, enjoyable to walk around, good views of it from the Castle
Kassiopi Marina的点评
点评：Tuesday 22nd September and we visited the small fishing village of Kassiopi on the northeastern side of the Island.
One of the main features of Kassiopi is it's picturesque Marina, and a walk around is worth it.
We walked around the crescent shaped Marina which is protected by the cliffs both ends. At the village end there is the small concrete pier with Kassiopi Castle above, reviewed separately.
The Marina itself is lined with a number of cafes, restaurants, places to sit and relax and enjoy the views.
While walking around we also saw the Memorial to HMS Saumarez and HMS Volage and a War Memorial along the waterfront, reviewed separately.
At the other end of the Marina, just beyond the Marina Authority kiosk, end there are some steps which lead up to a coastal pathway. We did walk a short distance along the path, there was some picturesque coastal scenery.
In the Marina there were a number of motor launches moored up alongside tour boats and small pleasure boats as well as fishing boats, a lively spot.
Later in the day we did visit Kassiopi Castle, from there we got views across the Marina and Bay
