点评:The area offers several walks. We opted for the longer ‘Source of the River Severn’ hike, around 7¼ miles there and back which takes just over three hours. On the information boards it is described as ‘strenuous’ but in our view for someone in their sixties, it is no more than moderate. Gravel paths are very good; elevations and descents are gradual. The second half of the walk is a little more picturesque than the first, but all the walk is very good and the last part of the walk is over heathland. The end point which takes you to the source of the River Severn marked by an obelisk is a little underwhelming, but it is worth walking another 200 yards over a stile to a hill peak where there are glorious 360° views including Snowden in the distance.
Car park is quite small for the number of visitors it receives, and it pays to arrive early. There are Portaloo’s on site but not particularly well maintained later in the day.

鉴于游客数量众多,停车场显得有些狭小,因此建议尽早前往。现场有移动厕所,但到了傍晚时分维护状况就不太理想了。
