I can’t say enough good things about my experience surfing with Josue. I came in excited but nervous with only a handful of previous surfing hours under my belt, and by lesson three I was paddling out to the lineup at sunrise and riding waves into shore — something I truly didn’t think I’d be doing so soon.
What makes Josue such an incredible coach is not just his technical skill, but the way he teaches with so much calm, patience, and encouragement. He knows exactly when to push you and when to let you build confidence at your own pace. I never felt rushed or pressured — only supported.
He helped me feel safe in the water, taught me how to read the waves, and most importantly helped me trust myself. Every session felt like progress, but also like fun — which is everything when you’re learning something new and challenging.
If you’re in Nosara and even thinking about trying surf lessons, book with Josue without question. Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to level up, you’ll leave the beach smiling, stronger, and way more confident than when you arrived.
