点评:Though the boat experience was good, a fair warning on several key things. First off, you are likely to choose them based solely on parking infrastructure. There is no safety protocol whatsoever, so best you keep your own safety and children's safety in mind. The casualness of it all seems like you are hopping on the boat with the family member that you’ve done numerous times, and for some, this may be nerve-racking. The captain of the boat did not speak a word the entire time, no pointing out of anything or an attempt to communicate whatsoever. You get on the boat, sit down, go straight to the wave and watch from a distance, and I did feel safe the whole time. However, it would have been nice to interact with the captain even just a little. Here’s where I have to leave a less than stellar review about. Upon leaving the boat, my husband thought I grabbed our clothes for our family of 3, and I thought he grabbed them. Well, we left all of our clothes on the boat. Nothing fancy, but unique things that we had each made as we are artisans and memorabilia collectors, and all five pieces that we left will not able to be replaced. We realized about an hour after our ride that we had left everything, so we had our Tahitian friend to call the company and leave a message of what happened, and that we would happily drive the hour journey back the next day to retrieve our belongings. No response, so in the morning again, we tried several times to contact the woman who handled the transaction. Finally, she called our friend back to say they did not find anything on the boat that day (after we had already driven back out to the site, expecting to just simply retrieve our things in a Lost and Found area, but that did not happen!) We (difficultly) called several more times while we were at the site as it is a bit of a journey, with no luck, and the (parking lot employee / cashier for the boat)- explained that the (woman, Mama Coco,) could not be reached as she herself was on the boat that day, and it would be for at least for the next four hours that she (might) be reached ! Very strange. On the next day, we were finally able to reach Mama Coco, who speaks English pretty well, and again question her about our belongings. Not only did she repeatedly ask me what boat were our things on, (there’s only 2!) but again stated there was no clothing found on the (small) boat that day. I asked her, what do they do with items that are lost and found?— she had the audacity to say no one has ever left any belongings behind on either of their boats! **She said that some of their other guests must have taken our things!!!—-slim chance, would you take a pile of clothes that weren’t yours unless you were utterly desperate, certainly not on vacation in Tahiti?
I find this impossible!!- how many times must people have left their sunglasses or sandles or GoPro or towel— they’ve never ever had one person lose something or leave it behind?? The fact that she said no one has ever left anything behind on two of their boats, leads me to believe that they kept our belongings for their own. If it were different clothing such as fast fashion or the like I am positive we would have gotten our things back- very disappointed and surprised to do business like this on an island!
