A great experience with Stubb’s Waller Creek Amphitheater

点评：I went to Stubb’s Waller Creek Amphitheater for the Inhaler concert in March 2025. It was a very hot, sunny day. The temperature was in the 80s, up to 88° at one point. Many of the spots where people had queued up for the show during the day were in full sun. Stubb’s was great about letting us go into the restaurant for ice water and to use their restroom. I was in line for five or six hours that day, and everyone in the restaurant was friendly, polite, and generous to us. I can’t describe how much we all appreciated the water and being able to use the restroom. Why don’t all venues do this??? Yes, House of Blues locations, I’m talking about you.
Later in the afternoon, some of the employees went through the line to check tickets and IDs. They were the perfect balance of professional and warm and friendly. It was a very positive, uplifting vibe. Same when we went through security and with the security people inside the venue; it was all business, but they did their work in a friendly, welcoming way.
The only food I tried from the restaurant was a few of the sides. I really liked the sweet potato fries and the green beans. The pinto beans looked and smelled great but were a little too spicy for me.
The amphitheater itself is a really cool space. It’s outdoors, and we were lucky not to have rain or excessive heat during the show. By the time the evening came (doors were at 7 pm), it had cooled off, and the frequent breeze helped a lot.
I would not come to a show during the summer, however. Based upon its having been 88° in mid March, I can’t imagine how dreadful the summer must be. Overall, I had a great experience and would return.
