点评:After visiting NYC probably about ten times, I finally made it to the Museum at Eldridge Street during my most recent trip and I wish I had discovered it much earlier.
It’s very well located in Lower Manhattan, close to Chinatown, the entrance to the Manhattan Bridge, and several other downtown attractions, so it’s easy to combine with other stops while exploring the area.
There is normally an admission fee, but if you book a solo visit online it can be free, which is definitely the way to do it.
I went early in the morning right after opening and practically had the entire place to myself. The visit itself is fairly quick, about 15–20 minutes, but the space is absolutely beautiful. The interior is incredibly well preserved, peaceful, and full of character. One of my favorite moments was seeing the light coming through the stunning stained-glass windows early in the day.
This place is small but truly special. I can’t recommend it enough.
