Yorktown Battlefield的点评
点评：The small museum and the film in the visitors center is worth the price of admission alone. Highlights of the museum include Washington’s tent and Cornwallis’ travel desk. Takes maybe twenty minutes to go through the museum.
The film lasts about 25 minutes but it would be very helpful to watch it to understand the battlefield sites.
The entrance desk has a map of the self driving battlefield auto tour but the tour is also well signed.
Would recommend downloading the Liberty Trail Virginia app, which will narrate the battlefield sites you stop at. There also is a battlefield guide on CD in the gift shop you can buy for $3 but not sure how many cars still have CD players.
There are two auto tour routes. One is seven miles (red route) and took us about an hour and a half and this covers the major sites. There is a yellow route tour, which covers secondary sites, and is nine miles. Did most of the yellow tour but just read the signs on this tour, instead of listening to the app, so it went quicker.
They do offer a combo ticket that includes admission to the museum of the American Revolution, or a larger combo ticket that would include Jamestown attractions. Check American Revolution or Jamestown website for details.
