点评：We recently completed the Short Inca Trail to Machu Picchu with Qoricancha Expeditions, and it was an outstanding travel experience. From our initial inquiry, María was attentive and professional. She promptly provided all necessary details, addressed our questions, and ensured a smooth booking process. It is clear that the company values its clients.
On the day of the hike, our guide Víctor and the driver greeted us early and were welcoming. With only five people in our group, the experience felt highly personalized. We took the train to Km 104, the starting point, and began our hike with impressive mountain views. Víctor was patient, friendly, and knowledgeable. He shared Inca history, explained each site, and introduced us to Quechua vocabulary. We visited Chachabamba and Wiñay Wayna, both sites rich in history and tranquility. Around midday, we paused for a well-prepared lunch and had time to rest and appreciate the scenery. The trail was moderately challenging and rewarding, with each step bringing us closer to Machu Picchu.
Upon reaching the Sun Gate, the view was remarkable. Although the weather was somewhat cloudy, seeing Machu Picchu in the distance was a memorable experience. We then took the bus to Aguas Calientes and stayed at Hotel La Jaya, which was comfortable, clean, and offered excellent service, including a relaxing jacuzzi.
The following day, we returned to Machu Picchu for a comprehensive guided tour, where Víctor’s enthusiasm and storytelling enhanced the experience. All logistics, including transportation and accommodation, were well coordinated. We are grateful to Qoricancha Expeditions, María, and Víctor for making this a memorable journey. We highly recommend this well-organized, small group experience to those seeking a meaningful and enriching adventure.
