点评:The ticket office for the tower is up a flight of stairs but it is well signposted. The cost was 4.50 euros. You get a paper ticket that you need to scan to enter. Make sure you put it somewhere safe as you also need to scan it to exit.
There are two staircases that spiral up the tower, one for going up and one for coming back down which is a great design to stop people having to pass each other. One thing to note is that at the top of the upwards staircase you need to cross over a glass floor to reach the outside viewing platform, it is not very big, maybe crossed in a single stride but worth knowing.
It was a cloudy December morning when I visited so I had the viewing platform all to myself. However I can see that if it was a sunny day there would not be a lot of room to move as the walkway is quite narrow. However it provides a 360 degree view of Innsbruck and the surrounding mountains.
I think I probably spent 10 minutes or so at the top taking photos before it got a bit too chilly and I headed back down. Outside before you enter there is a large wall with an image of the view so for those who do not like heights they can still get an idea of the surrounding area.
