beautiful indoor/outdoor stadium with poorly run main video scoreboard
马林鱼棒球场的点评
点评：Even though the Marlins appeared unlikely to make it to the postseason playoffs, we went to see them play on a late August night against the team that was going to be in the playoffs. It was our 1st time at the stadium. The stadium was far less than half full, with many of the spectators apparently rooting for the visiting team.
Miami is very hot in August, so we were pleased that the retractable roof was closed. With the air conditioning system, it is a very pleasant experience, climate-wise, in this facility. It is a relatively small baseball stadium, but overall it feels airy and clean.
The one thing we did not like is the way that the large main HD video screen in the outfield was operated. There were a few particularlyexciting plays that, for some reason, were not replayed on the screen. For example, a Marlin was thrown out at home plate, a really close call for the umpire. The visiting team's catcher appeared to have made a great play. However, the video screen did not replay it, which made no sense at all!
In addition, the game stats were maintained on this screen, except when they played advertisements (and other displays) on the screen. The stadium has other scoreboards, but the other ones did not provide the important stats of the game. When I wanted to refer to statistics about the game while talking to my friends, I frequently looked up at the scoreboard but did not see the stats because some advertisement was playing. Having been to many other baseball parks, I found the overall handling of the main scoreboard at this park sub-standard.
