Overpriced experience, avoid absolutely

点评：We did the Choquequirao trek with this company and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience overall.
To be fair, the guide, cook and porter were kind and did their best throughout the trek. The problem was clearly not the field staff, but the way the trip was organised and the standard of accommodation chosen by the agency.
The campsites and facilities were far below what we consider acceptable for a trek at this price point. In Santa Rosa, the toilet and shower were shockingly dirty, the shower was cold, the shower head was broken, and there was no electricity. In Marampata, we again found dirty facilities, had to pay extra for WiFi and hot water, and even after paying for WiFi the password was changed shortly afterwards. In several places, the atmosphere from the local hosts felt cold and unwelcoming.
What made this worse was the constant feeling of having to pay extra for everything: WiFi, charging a phone, hot showers, water, etc. There was also no toilet paper provided anywhere. For a tour costing around $1,700 for two people, this is simply not acceptable.
There were also discrepancies between the tour sold and the tour delivered. The website mentioned a portable toilet, lunch on the Choquequirao site, a local hacienda visit to learn about sugarcane, and a visit to Saywite Rock. None of these were actually provided.
The agency charges premium prices, but the reality on the ground suggests that very little of that money is going into decent conditions for guests or meaningful benefits for the local communities involved.
Overall, this trek felt seriously overpriced for what was delivered, and I would not recommend this company.
