Exquisite wine and culinary experience!

点评：For my 50th birthday, we arranged for a private culinary experience with Luis and Magdalena (the owners) and oh my, it was a heck of an experience!! Luis coordinated getting us taxi from Angra to the winery and we were greeted by Beatrice as well as Magdalena.
Magdalena took us through preparing our food that we helped to cook (while enjoying some rose wine) and then we took a tour of the vineyard with Magda.
We came back for lunch to eat the fish, salads and other vegetables that we had made and continued to drink another 7 or so different wines from Pico, Biscoitos and Graciosa. And when we thought it was done, they brought out some of the Alcatra stew, a cake and more desserts and Madeira wines!
Our lunch was over 5.5 hours long and well worth it. It made for a memorable 50th birthday celebration for my family and me.
Call ahead for this experience and don’t plan for anything else that day and definitely take a taxi to and from!
