Billy Shiel's Boat Trips的点评
点评：A very well-organised, thorough, value for money boat tour of the Farne Islands and Lindisfarne. I worried they would cut short the part around the Farnes, but not at all - we had an excellent and thorough visit, including plenty of time in the area where the seals were most active. We were too late for the tern colonies and other nesting birds, but the skipper pointed out all the birds which were present, and we also spotted a lot of juvenile birds later in the voyage, which had not yet migrated.
Lindisfarne was great, although shops/some attractions close at high tide (Shiel’s warned of this in advance), and it is a nice time to take a walk around.
Staff we met were all pleasant and courteous, and the boat commentary was excellent. I contacted Shiel’s in advance of booking, to ask about birding opportunities, and received a prompt, friendly and informative response. Not much more I can say, other than we had a great trip which was well worth the money, and we would recommend Shiel’s unreservedly.
