Great boat trip to the Farnes

点评：What a great way to spend the last day of the year! I hadn't realised the boat trips ran all year round but saw a post on Instagram and decided to go for it.
The lady who checked us in was very helpful and friendly, as were the crew, and the person who did the talking was very informative and had a lovely clear speaking voice. He gave us just enough information for it to be interesting without being continuous, so there was plenty of time to just enjoy the ride and admire the craggy rocks of the Farnes, the views of Bamburgh and Dunstanburgh in the distance, and a variety of seabirds. And then there were the seals; scores of them basking in the sun and some just swimming around.
We managed to stay up on the top level despite the cold and will definitely be back in the breeding season to see all the birds who come to visit. The boat looked brand new to me (not an expert) and the first thing we heard was the safety information. Highly recommend this trip, excellent value for money.
