Mac Mac Falls的点评
点评：If you love photography or just appreciate raw natural power, Mac Mac Falls is a highlight you cannot miss. It’s easily one of the most beautiful and iconic stops in Mpumalanga.
Spectacular Views
The sight of the twin falls plunging 65 meters into the forested gorge below is absolutely scenic. Originally a single stream, gold miners blasted the rock in the 1800s, creating the stunning double-drop effect we see today. If you’re lucky with the light, you’ll often see rainbows dancing in the mist at the bottom of the gorge.
Easy Access
The walk from the parking area to the viewing platform is short and paved, making it very accessible. The platform itself is well-secured with safety mesh (though you can still get a great clear shot with your phone/camera through the gaps). It’s a quick stop, but the scale of the cliffs and the lush green surroundings make it feel truly grand.
Pro-Tip: Visit the Pools Nearby
While you can’t swim at the main falls, make sure to drive just 2km further to the Mac Mac Pools. It’s a great spot to have a picnic and take a dip in the crystal-clear mountain water to cool off!
