Amazingly rich experience, but cheapened by overcrowding

点评：Meow Wolf is an out-of-this-world, one-of-a-kind immersive experience like none other. The imaginative, bold artistry is a refreshingly unique, self-directed experience that can easily take 2-3 hours inside. The admission fee is not cheap, but neither is the richness of the atmosphere or experience. I just wish I could say that you get what you pay for: the crowds are simply too much. For years, people have been leaving TripAdvisor reviews that Meow Wolf Grapevine lets too many people in for each gated entry time, and I'm yet another on that pile. Clearly, the venue is aware they are erring too much on the side of dollars-per-hour vs. protecting the artistic integrity of the experience, but the reality is even going mid-week, you are going to have a lot of surprises and discovery spoiled because you'll see others doing them too. A family was sitting at the computer for nearly an hour in the dining room to solve the mystery - and I don't blame them at all for doing so - but it meant no one else got the chance. The house was so crowded that the kitchen became a bottleneck for the whole venue.
I have been both to Santa Fe and Grapevine, and while there are similarities, both have some unique elements. However, you would be better served saving up your dollars and time for Santa Fe, because Grapevine is simply too crowded to enjoy to its intended extent.
