Khao Lak Day Trip的点评
点评：We chose Robert Banjong Raksakulsukkasem who works for Khao Lak Day trip on recommendation. I had previously asked for advice on a local Facebook group on trips that would be suitable for someone with reduced mobility due to breathing problems.
Three trips were booked prior to our travel and a fourth trip was booked whilst we were in Khao Lak.
Trip 1
Phang Nga Bay - full day
Long tail boat , stunning views around the bay and to James Bond island, stopping off for a canoe trip through some caves. Back on the boat and off to see the ‘floating village with it’s own school, floating football pitch . Then off for lunch which consisted of several local tasty dishes. Finally stopping off at Suwan Kuha cave temple which contains the magnificent lying down gold Buddha. A totally enjoyable day.
I did struggle with walking on the floating island so Robert cut the island tour short and got the captain of the long boat to pick us up at a different location.
Trip 2
Takuapa District- half day
Local life tour including tsunami museum, lunch at a local restaurant- chicken pad Thai which was delicious.
We then went to Khongkha Phimuk temple then off to Takuapa old town and had tea in an old tea house.
Again very enjoyable. Robert was great and even offered to push my wheelchair.
Trip 3
Chiew Lan Lake and Khao Sok National Park - full day
Unfortunately due to my limited mobility we were unable to go trekking. However the long tail boat around the lake was absolutely stunning with amazing scenery. We were lucky to see families of monkeys playing alongside the lake but unfortunately there were no elephants to see at the time of our trip. We had a great lunch at a raft house on the lake before seeing more of the magnificent scenery.
Trip 4
A bespoke day trip - full day
- Khao Lak Elephant Home, the elephants are well looked after and we got the chance to meet and feed them. They are free to roam around after the visitors have left.
- Phuket, stopping off at the viewpoint
at the lighthouse, we decided to stop here for lunch as the views were magnificent.
- Another temple , sorry I can’t remember it’s name but it was quite large and in sizeable grounds. It was stunning.
- Phuket Big Buddha statue, absolutely stunning and beautiful. It was a bit of a struggle but used the wheelchair. The views of the coast below were spectacular.
- Phuket old town, this was a bit of a struggle with the wheelchair as the pavements are very narrow and crowded. We didn’t stay long due to this and the fact that it was so hot.
Throughout all our trips Robert was great, very informative and friendly whilst also helpful. We would thoroughly recommend Robert and Khao Lak Day Trip.
