点评：We had booked our transfer in advance through Drake Bay Boat Shuttle. The booking process was quick and easy.
Since both the website and our tickets clearly stated a departure time of 3:00 PM, we arranged a private transfer from Quepos to Sierpe for $150. We did this because the local public bus from Quepos would only have arrived in Sierpe at around 3:00 PM, which seemed too risky given the advertised boat departure time.
When we arrived, we were welcomed and told to wait at the restaurant next door. However, the boat did not leave at 3:00 PM as stated. It departed at 4:00 PM instead. In fact, it was simply the regular daily boat service that arrives there every day, meaning tickets could also have been purchased directly on site.
Afterwards, we contacted the organizer via WhatsApp and explained that we had spent an unnecessary $150 on a private transfer because the communicated departure time was incorrect. Had the correct departure time been provided, we could have taken the public bus for around $7 without any issue.
Unfortunately, the organizer showed absolutely no interest in our complaint or in the inconvenience and extra expense we had incurred. I have attached screenshots of the WhatsApp conversation so that others can judge for themselves how little concern was shown.
I would not book through this company again. At the very least, I would have expected a sincere apology. There are plenty of alternative providers available if you want to book in advance for peace of mind, so there is really no need to choose this one.
