点评：In 2019, I was flying out of Kenya toward South Africa for a series of meetings. Mid-flight, the pilot came on the intercom and asked us to look out the left side of the plane. There it was, Mt. Kilimanjaro, magnificent, unmovable, breathtaking. In that moment, I knew I wanted to climb it someday.
That someday came in early 2026. I called a few trusted friends for recommendations, and one name kept coming up: Evans Adventure Safaris. Due diligence matters to me, so before committing my team to this "first," I wanted to be sure Evans was the right fit. After an initial email exchange, we moved to WhatsApp calls, several of them, in fact, and Evans answered every question with patience and genuine care.
Paying for the trip mattered to me, but it was clear money was never Evans focus. He was never pushy, never transactional. He walked me through the different route options, then sent an itemized breakdown of everything we'd need for a successful climb. When I asked, he even shared a gear rental list from his own company at a fair, affordable price. In every exchange, his communication was prompt and thorough, and when he didn't know an answer offhand, he found it and followed up.
When travel day finally arrived, our team landed at JRO (Kilimanjaro International Airport) to a warm welcome from Evans and his team. From the accommodations to the thoughtful attention to our food preferences, every detail was handled with excellence. The guides, porters, chefs, waiters, toilet dude, etc; were fantastic!
His guide team leaders are simply phenomenal. They bring years of experience and a genuine care for the people they lead. Every briefing and debriefing was outstanding, delivered with a humility you have to experience firsthand to understand. They're remarkably observant, attuned to the smallest signs that someone is struggling and health-conscious, checking oxygen levels and heart rates daily. We started calling them "superhumans" for how effortlessly they made the impossible feel manageable. They are the best of the best, operating with a spirit of excellence that turns clients into family.
What impressed me most is their humility in success: they actively seek feedback because they're always striving to improve. There are other companies offering Kilimanjaro treks and Serengeti safaris, but Evan's Adventure Safaris operates on another level entirely, well beyond five stars, with results that consistently exceed expectations.
