A wonderful journey through the Kyzylkum Desert and rural Uzbekistan

点评：We had a fantastic experience with Ruslan and Nurata Tours, both before and during our trip.
What impressed us most actually started long before we arrived in Uzbekistan. One of our children has some mobility challenges and needs a little extra consideration when we travel. Before booking, we exchanged several emails with Ruslan about what would and wouldn’t work for him. Ruslan was incredibly helpful, honest and thoughtful, and really took the time to understand our situation rather than simply trying to sell us a tour. That gave us a lot of confidence in booking with Nurata Tours.
The trip itself took us from Bukhara through the Kyzylkum Desert, where we stayed overnight in a yurt camp and tried camel riding, before continuing to Majrum for a homestay. We loved the contrast between the huge, empty desert landscapes and the much more personal experience of staying in a small village and getting a glimpse of rural life in Uzbekistan.
Everything worked really well for our family, and the arrangements took our sons needs into account just as Ruslan had promised beforehand.
The trip also felt like much more than simply transportation between Bukhara and Samarkand. It became one of the most memorable parts of our journey through Uzbekistan and gave us experiences we would never have had by just travelling between the major cities.
Communication with Ruslan was excellent throughout, everything was well organized, and we always felt that he genuinely cared about making the trip work for our family.
We can highly recommend Nurata Tours – especially if you are looking for a more personal and authentic experience of Uzbekistan, or if you have particular needs and want to deal with someone who actually listens.
