The Light Redhill的点评
点评：We visited The Light Redhill this evening for bowling and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience.
When we arrived there was no one available to greet or guide us, and we had to search around before eventually finding someone to take us to our lane. When we got there, one of our lanes was still occupied and another had just finished, leaving a significant mess which we had to clear ourselves because no staff were available.
We finally managed to start our game around 6:15pm, despite our booking being for 6pm. Then at 7pm the machine automatically reset for the next booking, even though we had lost time due to the earlier delays. This led to an unpleasant confrontation with the group booked after us, and we were verbally abused despite the situation not being our fault.
We spoke to the manager who was polite and empathetic, but he said he did not have the authority to resolve the issue and that we would have to wait until Monday to hear back. That really isn’t acceptable when the problem occurred on the night.
More generally, the venue appeared poorly organised. There were plenty of staff walking around restocking shelves, clearing trays and loading dishwashers, but very few visible customer-facing staff to help guests. People were queuing for around 20 minutes to spend over £80 on drinks, which says a lot about how inefficient things were. There were between 4-5 staff behind the bar and one serving. They followed each other around the venue with empty trays.
Overall it felt chaotic and badly managed. What should have been a fun evening ended up being frustrating and disappointing.
