WOW! The best tour of our 2 weeks in Alaska

点评：All I can say is WOW!
Well, of course, I’ll say more than that. We were in Alaska for 2 weeks in May and this was the best tour of all the tours we booked. Captain Seth did a super job: Not only is he friendly, funny and welcoming, he is extremely knowledgeable. One of the things we liked the best was the entertaining way he wove his vast knowledge into what we were seeing, be it whales, bears, otters, fish or birds.
He is not only expert about the wildlife we spotted, but has the experience and local knowledge about the best places to find them. Not an easy task this early in the season! But he succeeded.
Great value for the money, too. Seth really spent the time to give us, his clients, the best experience possible. We saw several whales, including a mom and baby, that partially breached but Seth was determined to make sure my husband got the ‘money shot’ of a whale tail And he did! He never gave up, relocating to different spots to find the ‘right’ whale and then expertly positioned the boat to get the best vantage.
We felt very comfortable at all times, both with the boat itself and with Seth as captain. Despite some rough seas, he was very cognizant of safety and our comfort. The boat carries a maximum of 6 people, so a super alternative to the big boats.
Great guy, great tour. We definitely recommend him and would book with him again!
My tip: Book directly with Seth at Vivid Endeavors, not through a middle man. I always try to be sure that the operator him/herself gets all my money!
