I was at the Somnath Mandir last Saturday, 27/12/2025 having booked a Pooja for 9am slot through their temple office the previous day. Mr. Anilbhai Mistry at the office was very helpful and gave clear instructions to us for the next day Pooja, including the entrance to be sued to get in.
We were advised to use an alternative entrance upon showing our Pooja receipt. However, there was a very rude and nasty gentleman there called Mr. Jaideep who blatantly refused us in through that particular entrance inspite of repeatedly pleading with him. He said there was no communication from the office and the receipt also does not state that. He claimed the office should have communicated with the security earlier for us to be allowed in through that particular gate. I was in company of my two sisters and we had to then follow the normal queue to enter the temple. Fortunately we managed in good time and also did our Pooja at 9am as scheduled.
I am writing this to ensure other fellow devotees do not go through such experiences and of course with no phones allowed, we could not also call the office.
It is not difficult for the security to identify NRIs and wonder why they make it so difficult for us under the circumstances. Everyone has to be respected and treated equally and such kind of harassment should not be accepted at all. I hope the relevant authorities will take needful action and remedify the situation for fellow devotees forever.

保安人员很容易识别海外印度人,我不明白为什么在这种情况下他们要如此刁难我们。每个人都应该受到尊重和平等对待,这种骚扰绝对不能容忍。我希望有关部门能够采取必要的措施,彻底解决信徒们面临的困境。
