Unforgettable Wild Truffle Hunt & World-Class Family Feast at Tiberini

The day started with a wild truffle hunt led by Paolo and his two wonderful dogs, Leia and Lola. The dogs immediately got to work in a nearby forest, finding handfuls of truffles ranging from small to impressively large. Our daughters loved being fully involved in the process. It was a wonderful educational experience, especially learning more about these entirely wild Italian truffles!
Back at the winery afterward, Samantha hosted us for a spectacular meal prepared by their chef. Every course was beautifully paired with their estate wines (which were so good we bought some for our villa and placed an order to ship home). We were treated to fresh hot bread, a divine potato and zucchini soufflé in béchamel sauce, fresh tagliolini pasta, and a savory pork dish with a fried potato cake—all showered in our freshly harvested truffles. The portions are incredibly generous, so come hungry! We finished with a refreshing mint flan with cherry sauce.
They were so incredibly warm and generous, even packing up our leftovers for us. Our two older daughters happily devoured the regular truffle menu, while the chef kindly prepared a delicious, simple tomato pasta for our youngest. A flawless, generous, and memorable day from start to finish!
